Gary Fisher, FTG3, 1962-1966
Gary Fisher, 62, (known in some circles as "Dog"), died at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at his home in Evansville, Ind.
He was born Sept. 5, 1943, in Princeton, Ind. He was a technician for Sears Roebuck and Co., where he worked for 38 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He lived in Evansville for the past 12 years, coming from Princeton, Ind. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton. Gary was an avid fisherman, loved to fish for bass and crappie.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Zelma (Johnson) Fisher.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Doerner) Fisher of Evansville, Ind.; son, Scott (Charity) Fisher, Evansville, Ind.; son, Todd Fisher, San Diego, Calif., and his special friend, Becky Austin; granddaughters, Hannah Fisher and Hadley Fisher; brother, Larry Fisher, Greenwood, Ind.; special friends to our family, Clancey and Samatha Smith, Newburgh, Ind.; nephews, Greg, Jeff and Eric Fisher and Brian Doerner; niece, Angela Doerner; several great-nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Dorothy Doerner, Princeton, Indiana; and 2 brothers-in-law and wives, Larry and Linda Doerner, Princeton, Ind., and Kevin and Jilaine Doerner, Washington, Ind.
Funeral arrangements are 2 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind.; the Rev. Ray Phelps will conduct services, with final disposition in Townsley Cemetery, east of Mackey, Ind.
Friends may call at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Ind., from 3 to 8 p.m. today. The VFW No. 1147 will conduct military graveside services on Thursday. Condolences may be made online at www.colvin funeralhome.com.
