Our Chaplain received an email on Saturday, March 4, 2006, from his daughter Suzan which reads:

"John, my name is Suzan A. (Moore) Winkler. My father, Andrew H. Moore, served on the USS Rush (DD 714) from 1948 to April 1952. He passed away August 19, 1992. He was very proud of serving on that ship and I think he worked in the Boiler Room. I know he would like his name added to the "In Memoriam" page, if at all possible. I enclosed a picture of him and a few others of his buddies and the ship. You can use them in any way you would like. I know he had an award certificate which was given to all who were onboard when the ship shelled the shores of Korea for several days. It was signed by a General of the ROk. If I find it, I will send a copy if you like. I know he would have loved going to a reunion, if only he were alive. If there is any other information you need please let me know and I will try to help."

In addition to providing information about and the photographs of her father, Suzan also sent us his obiturary, which reads as follows:
