Recently our webmaster received email information from Trae Telladira, a family member, about the passing of Edward J. Duffy.
The following obituary was published in the Orlando, Florida newspaper The Orlando Sentinel on Monday, December 10, 2007:
Edward Joseph Duffy
1943 - 2007
Orlando, Florida
Edward Joseph Duffy, age 64 of Orlando, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007. He was born on March 14, 1943 in Roseville, Michigan. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Powers Drive Baptist Church in Orlando.
Mr. Duffy is survived by his wife Mona Duffy; children Denise Reynolds (Kenny) of Groveland, Cindy Telladira of Orlando, and Alecia Chandler (Melvin) also of Orlando; sisters Mary Cable and Delores Walker, both of Michigan; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Holly, Amber, and Olivia.
Visitation for Mr. Duffy will be held from 5-9PM Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Powers Drive Baptist Church, 3311 N. Powers Drive, Orlando. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Orlando.
