RM 3/c William Edward Kenney, USN

Priscilla Kenney Gutkin contacted the Webmaster by e-mail that her Father, William Edward Kenney had been onboard RUSH as a Radioman Third Class from 1944 until the end of the war. She kindly provided the phtograph above.

William Edward Kenney was born November, 27, 1929, and passed July, 1977. He entered the Navy in New York State and trained at US Naval Training Center, Sampson, NY. The photograph below, courtesy of the USNTC Sampson Museum, shows the color guard in their whites.

William E. Kenney was awarded the WWII Victory Medal (left) and the American Campaign Medal (right), as shown below:
