Word was received by Charley Newbold and Gene Mele that their friend and fellow RushMate, Andy Scopelliti had passed.


Andrew J. Scopelliti, 77, of Spotswood died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his son's home in Chicago IL.

Born in Atlantic City, he grew up in Metuchen and has resided in Spotswood since 1961. Andrew was a Navy Veteran of The Korean War. He was employed by General Motors prior to his retirement. He was a former member of the VFW and the American Legion, and a participant of the Veteran's Organization Tin Can Sailors. Formerly, he served as President of Spotswood Boys Baseball League and was a Founder of Spotswood High School's Booster Club.
